Blue-Kote ™ Kreg Pocket Hole Screws feature a three layer high-grade anti-corrosion coating. The first layer is a zinc layer to protect the hardened steel inner screw from corrosive environments. The second layer inactivates the zinc and creates adhesion between the base coat and the Blue-Kote layer. The Blue-Kote layer is a baked ceramic which is electrically/chemically inert, so rust can’t form on the surface. Enough of all that chemical talk, the gist is that the Blue-Kote pocket hole screws are 400% more weather resistant than the “old” Sun-Seal Kreg pocket hole screws and they still have our favorite Square Drive recess for positive bit engagement. Not recommended in for ACQ or other pressure treated lumber. Made in Taiwan.

I have found one that was the wrong size, and three or four that were malformed--in all those screws. Good product!
Great Price On A Great Kreg Screw

If you have never used the Kreg jig and screws, I highly recommend it. Very strong construction using it. Great for use constructing with 2x4's
On my third box of 2,000 screws
So far, I have had to throw out two screws! The coating helps them drive easily, and I can keep the driver clutch on 2 or 3.

The Square Drive and use in the Kreg application is super. My first real project using the Kreg Jig, The prescribed 2-1/2" fasteners perform very well. My project, a 10' set of shelves w/ 2"x4" & 2" X2" lumber, turned out better than expected. The fasteners provided a super secure connection between all boards. I will be back to purchase more of these for future projects.
