When it comes to resisting corrosion in the harsh conditions encountered around salt water, passivated 316 stainless steel screws are the undisputed champs. Their high Nickel content together with a small percentage of Molybdenum make 316 grade stainless steel screws exceptionally resistive to corrosive salts. This is really the very best screw choice for all construction exposed to salt spray. Remember that even 316 stainless steel is more prone to breakage than the hardened steel screw you are used to using. Note the non-standard head diameters (0.344). Drive carefully! Made in Taiwan.

I used stainless screws in sauna bench construction so no stains and no corrosion. The square drive doesn't cam out and protects the soft cedar wood I use.
