Kreg Blue-Kote ™ Pocket Hole Screws feature a three layer high-grade anti-corrosion coating. The first layer is a zinc layer to protect the hardened steel inner screw from corrosive environments. The second layer inactivates the zinc and creates adhesion between the base coat and the Blue-Kote layer. The Blue-Kote layer is a baked ceramic which is electrically/chemically inert, so rust can’t form on the surface. Enough of all that chemical talk, the gist is that the Blue-Kote screws are 400% more weather resistant than the “old” Kreg Sun-Seal screws and they still have our favorite Square Drive recess for positive bit engagement. Not recommended for ACQ or other pressure treated lumber. Made in Taiwan.

About Me Professional
Leave it to Kreg Tool to come up with an exterior screw fastener with a pan head, right on.
Phillips head will be obsolete

I initially purchased the Blu Kote screws to build a potting table. I wound up building 3 tables, a planter bench and a raised herb box. Although designed for use with the Kreg Jig, I used it in several other applications with pressure treated wood. Virtually self tapping and easy to drive home with the square drive, I probably won't use regular phillips head screws again.
Blue Kote screws are excellent value

Blue Kote screws are very rust resistant and I use them for all applications. I purchase them 5,000 or more at a time to get this best pricing. I would like a 2 5/8" length and a 1" coarse length.
