Whether you want the high tech look of exposed flat black screw heads, or just don’t want to bother with countersinking, but don’t want to see a shiny screw head, these black oxide plated screws will be just the ticket. Black Oxide offers very little corrosion resistance though, so use in humid environments, wood with a high moisture content, or highly acidic woods like oak may result in some discoloration. For reference purposes, this finish is used on most socket head cap screws and other automotive style machine screws. Available in Combo Recess only. Made in US/Canada/Taiwan. #2 Square Recess.

I tried square drive screws when I ordered a box to replace the old cabinet hinge screws, wow, way easier to use; remove and install. So I got more drives and I am not looking back to slotted or Phillip heads. This order was the latest length needed for a project.
