Whether you want the high tech look of exposed flat black screw heads, or just don’t want to bother with countersinking, but don’t want to see a shiny screw head, these black oxide plated screws will be just the ticket. Black Oxide offers very little corrosion resistance though, so use in humid environments, wood with a high moisture content, or highly acidic woods like oak may result in some discoloration. For reference purposes, this finish is used on most socket head cap screws and other automotive style machine screws. 0813-FRK is only available in Combo/#2Sq. Recess. All -FSK models are #2 Square Drive. Made in US/Canada/Taiwan.

I use this screw when 11/4" is too short and 11/2"is too long
excellent screw for joining 3/4" stock.

I used these screws to fabricate a case piece with 3/4" exterior and some 3/4" interior bracing. The 13/8" screws I used helped tremendously to complete the project. To me these are the perfect size fasteners for such casework.
