I have been using these screws for 5+ years as a professional cabinet and built in maker.. I have tried others types including the aussie screws but these work best. they crank the wood together, no need for pre drill unless hardwood and near the edge then I recommend pre drill. they recess nicely and hold well. highly recommend them

Used these screws to fasten through 5/8 " plywood attic flooring into 7/8" soft pine subfloor/ second floor exposed ceiling. Nothing else I tried would quite work. These worked, but not by much.1.5 " is a little too long here, as the screw tips will show. It would have worked better if the 1.375 " were available in a #9 or even a #10 screw.
