If you often break Pocket Hole Screws, solve your problems once and for all with these #8 Self-Drilling Pan head screws we specially designed for pocket hole construction. Made in China/Taiwan. #2 Square Recess. Unthreaded Length 1/2"
Pocket Hole Joinery: What You Need to Pocket hole joinery is popular because it is a fast, strong, easily adaptable, precise method of assembly. Joints are as strong as mortise & tenon joints and can be made in a fraction of the time. Award-Winning Kreg Jigs use a 3/8” counterbore bit with an 11/64” pilot to drill a 15° angle into the first piece. With the joint tightly clamped, a special self-drilling pocket hole screw is placed in the pocket and driven tight to complete the joint. Pocket Hole screws feature an auger point to prevent raising a chip between the two parts during assembly, ensuring a tight joint. A large pan head with a #2 Square Recess and extended unthreaded shank enable a pocket hole screw to draw the two members of the joint tight.

The only style you'll ever need.

Comments about #8 x 1-1/4'' Super 8 Pocket Hole Screws Dry Lube:
This is the only pocket hole screw you'll ever need. I use this screw with plywood, MDF, and hardwoods of all kinds and it holds equally well in everything. I've now used well over 3000 of these little gems and have never had a breakage or seen a bad screw. The only thing to consider is that, because the head is larger than standard, pocket hole plugs don't fit quite as well. It's not a problem to sand the plugs down, but you should be aware that the plugs won't go in as far as the original pocket hole screws.
