Pocket Hole Joinery: What You Need to
Pocket hole joinery is popular because it is a fast, strong, easily adaptable, precise method of assembly. Joints are as strong as mortise & tenon joints and can be made in a fraction of the time. Award-Winning Kreg Jigs use a 3/8” counterbore bit with an 11/64” pilot to drill a 15° angle into the first piece. With the joint tightly clamped, a special self-drilling pocket hole screw is placed in the pocket and driven tight to complete the joint.
Pocket Hole screws feature an auger point to prevent raising a chip between the two parts during assembly, ensuring a tight joint. A large pan head with a #2 Square Recess and extended unthreaded shank enable a pocket hole screw to draw the two members of the joint tight.

I've used other pocket hole screws and these are by far the best I've used. Just as advertized and the price is great as well
Mcfeely's bramd super 8s
used kregs and snapped many of the heads off in hardest woods (oak, ash, hickory etc). Rarely have these snapped off.I don't need to have fine thread or course thread etc as in the kregs, this one thread style has worked well for all my apps. I do is stock 1.5" for thicker stock.I highly recommend these fasteners. The other mcfeely labeled fasteners have performed very well also. On a side note, another excellent fastener are the spaxx. Gotta like square drive.been buying from mcfeeley's for 8 years now.
These work very well

I haven't used them that much yet, but used as recommended, they are the best yet. The only thing I can think of to make them better is if someone came to install them. I put a couple in manufactured wood before using them for real and they tore the wood apart without stripping. I WILL be using them more.
