Whether you want the high tech look of exposed flat black screw heads, or just don’t want to bother with countersinking, but don’t want to see a shiny screw head, these black oxide plated screws will be just the ticket. Black Oxide offers very little corrosion resistance though, so use in humid environments, wood with a high moisture content, or highly acidic woods like oak may result in some discoloration. For reference purposes, this finish is used on most socket head cap screws and other automotive style machine screws. Available in Combo Recess only. Made in US/Canada/Taiwan. #1 Square Recess.

Comments about #6 x 1-1/4'' Black Oxide Flat Head Screws:
I used these screws to frame window frames that I am constructing. Since I am making several of these windows, I particularly like the square recessed head. With a motorized driver I have been able to greatly speed up the assembly of the frames. I have not had any bad experiences with these screws.
