Comments about #4 x 3/4'' Flat Head Brass Square Drive Cut Thread:
#4 screws X 3/4" in solid brass are difficult to find. Add to that a preference for quality if at all possible, and these fasteners are right on target.I build boats, (skiffs), "quick and dirty", for personal use and for family/friends. It's always been frustrating for me to locate this exact size and although I've never failed, projects have been held up for weeks while I searched, and the poor cut, etc., of them would nearly bring tears to my eyes out of frustration. I KNEW that this particular screw HAD to be offered by SOMEONE, and having done business with McFeelys for over a decade, I decided to take a look.Outstanding quality for my purposes,(utility),and no need to predrill while going through softwoods and luaun mahogany.Slotted brass is the design standard for fine assemblies but the square-drive head is attractive in it's own right and fits a brass finishing washer perfectly. It's easy to make quality "big" stuff, butrare to find a small item with consistency of quality. These are the real thing.
