Tired of Breaking Hinge Screws? Use the Real Thing! I think the screws included with most cabinet hardware must be specifically designed to break. Surely there couldn’t be any other reason for their pitiful quality. That’s why we offer our standard steel screws with a Brass Plating. They are primarily for decorative applications, so we offer these in the sizes most popular for that purpose. For sizes not listed, Yellow Zinc is often a very suitable substitute. Little corrosion resistance is provided by the bright plating applied to our standard hardened steel screws. These are available only in our standard Square Recess drive type. Due to usage variables, we can not guarantee these screws against corrosion. Made in USA/Canada/Taiwan. #0 Square Recess.

We have been using these for our glass fasteners on our glass mullion doors for 12 years. They work very well.
This is the only way to go

I had to install a piano hinge in some moderately hard wood using #4-1/2" Phillips head screws. What a nightmare that was. So I bought these square drive for my next project, this time in cherry wood. What a difference! I'll never be without them again. I'm throwing those little Phillips head screws away. Thank you McFeely's.
