3/8" Stainless Steel Torque Washers

Torque washers increase the bearing area under a carriage bolt’s head, and prevent it from spinning as it is tightened. They are ideal for use in constructing swing sets, docks and decks. Available in 18-8 stainless steel as well as mechanically galvanized (1/2” size only). Torque washers have four prongs that bite into the lumber to prevent spinning, and a central square hole for the carriage bolt under-head square “nut.” They work best with softwoods and man-made composite lumber and are not likely to give good results with tropical hardwoods like Ipe.
