FastenMaster has introduced the first engineered fastener designed to attach a deck ledger board to a house without predrilling. LedgerLok screws are heat treated to provide stronger shear values than traditional 1/2" lags. Use a 5/16 hex nutdriver with our 14.4v Makita Impact Driver or a 1/2" corded variable speed drill to drive these screws through your ledger and into your rim joist. A proprietary multi-coat finish is guaranteed not to rust for the life of your project, even in the new ACQ treated lumber (saltwater applications excepted). A 5/8" dia washer head prevents the fastener from countersinking into the wood and locks the ledger tight to your structure. As always, consult your local building codes for appropriate use.
