The designer has been refining this workbench design since he built his first one 30 years ago. Its trestle style is constructed with mortise-and-tenon joints, with a tongue-and-groove top and big breadboard ends for stability and durability. The large, solid top has a lot of ways to hold the work piece with a front vise and a tail vise used with bench dogs and a holdfast, and a sliding stop at one end. Advanced woodworking skills are recommended to take on this project. The plan includes a cut list, full-size and scale drawings, and a companion How-To article. The finished workbench measures 30-1/2"D x 84-3/4"W x 35"H. Copyright 2012.
